Copper in Pangasinan

This is a Copper site in Pangasinan, going to this site cost us a lot. 3 hours travel from the town proper in an old truck in a very rocky road. These samples turned out to have a 4.17% Copper content. For the expert, this is promising, since the samples were taken from the outcrop, so there could be higher grades of Cu deeper. Unfortunately, it turned out that all documents being held by the claimant is invalid. And there are issues of insurgency in the area.

Philippines is one of the richest countries in terms of mineral deposits. 20 years back, mining here is only about gold, but as years pass by, there are different mineral deposits that are being discovered around the country. Like Copper (Cu), Manganese (Mn), Iron (Fe), and a lot more.

But there are a lot of mining and mineral trading issues in this country. Like most mining companies are owned by foreigners, issues of exploitation of lands and its people, scams on mineral trading, and a lot more.
